Waterville, Maine- The Colby College White Mules (1-1) were defeated by Middlebury College (1-0) at Colby College 12-6 in their home opener. The Mules fought hard ending the half down 8-5. Freezing cold temperatures coupled with an aggressive Panther squad crippled Colbyıs chances of a comeback. The Mules only scored 1 goal in the second half giving up 4. Leading the way for Colby was Ally King '03 (West Hartford, Ct.) and Cara Dionisi '04 (Sudbury, Ma.). King had a strong first half, tallying 1 goal as well as an assist. Dionisi notched three goals on the day for the Mules along with an assist. Other players who scored points for the mules were Amanda Epstein '03 (Philapelphia, Pa.), Ali Grenert '05 (Sewickley, Pa.), Marcia Ingraham '02 (Georgetown, Ma.)
