Waterville, Maine- The Colby College White Mules (4-3) looked impressive at Crafts Field today as they won handily over the New England Nor'easters (3-3). The Mules won their third game in a row, and were led by Marcia Ingraham '02 (Georgetown, Mass.) who had seven points on four goals and three assists, as well as Cara Dionisi '04 (Sudbury, Mass.) and Ally King '03 (West Hartford, Conn.) who each had 6 points. New England was led by Hope Lavigne ¹04 (Bowdoinham, Maine) who had two goals.The Mules jumped out to a early 3-0 lead via an Amanda Epstein '03 (Philadelphia, Pa.) goal as she made a solid cut across the middle for a score and two Ingraham goals on her first three shots. The Mules offense would be rolling, with Epstein, Dionisi, Lauren Gremelspacher '03 (Granbury, Conn.), Kate Wheeler '04 (Baltimore, Md.) and Ashley Martin '03 (Owings Mills, Md.) scoring multiple goals in the first half to build up a 17-3 halftime lead. Katie Trainor '03 (Rye, N.H.) scored two goals in the second half and Ali Grenert '05 (Sewickley, Pa.) scored three consecutive goals to contribute to the final score of 25-4. Anna Schierberl-Scherr ¹03 (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Mary Zito ¹02 (Manhasset, N.Y.) spilt the goaltending for Colby in the win while Caitlin Powderly ¹04 (Billerica, Mass.) was in net for New England.
