GORHAM, Maine -- The Colby College White Mules, led by freshman Emma Miller's (Wellesley, Mass.) four goals, got goals from 12 different players to rout the University of Southern Maine Huskies 22-0 Monday afternoon in a women's non-conference lacrosse game at Paula Hodgdon Field. Miller had a pair of goals in each half to lead the Colby offensive onslaught. Junior Ashley Martin (Owings Mills, Md.) netted three goals for Colby, and five other players found the net twice. The White Mules scored five goals in a span of 3:08 early in the first half to take command. Colby led 11-0 at the break.
Colby held a decided 35-3 advantage in shots on goal during the game. Senior Mary Zito (Manhasset, N.Y.) had three saves to post the shutout. Southern Maine senior goalie Andy Guerette (Fairfield, Maine) was credited with 13 saves. The win improved the White Mules overall record to 6-3. Southern Maine lost for the fourth time in its last five games to slip to 4-7.
