Colby Wraps Up Best Regular Season Ever With 16-8 Victory Over Cardinals

Waterville, Maine- The Colby College White Mules (9-3) clinched the best regular season in the history of the women's lacrosse program with a .750 winning percentage as they were victorious 16-8. The previous season high mark was 13-5 (.722). The win was the eighth straight for Colby. It was fitting that on senior day the Mules were led by Marcia Ingraham '02 as she shined with 5 goals and an assist. Ally King '03 was the playmaker for the Mule offense, compiling 6 assists as she picked apart the Wesleyan defense all day long and she also had two goals. With the loss the Wesleyan College Cardinals (6-7) dropped their sixth straight contest. Wesleyan received 3 goals and an assist from Rebecca Vogel '05 and two goals apiece from Sarabeth Broder-Fingert '02 and Vanessa Jones '05 in a losing effort. Scoring multiple points for Colby was Emma Miller '05 (2 goals, assist), Katie Trainor '03 (1 goal, 2 assists), Lauren Gremelspacher '03 (2 goals) and Cara Dionisi '04 (goal, assist).
