Heidi Godomsky, Head Coach
Heidi Godomsky begins her 10th season at the helm of Colby's women's lacrosse team. During her tenure at Colby, Godomsky has worked to build the lacrosse team into a nationally recognized program. So far she has been highly successful. Colby finished as one of the four best teams in NESCAC in both 2001 and 2002, earning back-to-back semifinal NESCAC tournament appearances. Colby has made five trips to the ECAC tournament (NESCAC no longer competes in the ECAC tournament), including a trip to the championship game in 2000. Godomsky has coached eight IWLCA All-Americans, including six in the last two years, and 12 IWLCA Regional All-Americans. Godomsky earned a degree in government in 1991 from The College of William and Mary, where she was a four-year member of the college's NCAA Division I lacrosse program. She played defense wing on teams that captured South Atlantic Conference titles in 1988, 1989, and 1991 and a NCAA tournament spot in 1988. Godomsky's coaching career began at Trinity College, where she was an assistant field hockey and lacrosse coach. While at Trinity, Godomsky earned a master's degree in history with a focus on the history of women's sports in the United States, Title IX, and gender-equity.
