Mark Serdjenian recently finished his 27th year coaching the Colby men's soccer program and has a 197-153-31 record. Serdjenian, who graduated from Colby in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in English, was co-captain of the team as a senior and was named All-Maine as a goalkeeper in each of his three varsity seasons.

In 1990 he was named Maine and New England Coach of the Year after the Mules completed the regular season undefeated and ranked number one in the region. He was also named the 1993 Maine Coach of the Year.

After 11 years in elementary education, Serdjenian returned to Colby in 1984 to work in academics as the College's associate dean of students. He is a United States Soccer Federation licensed coach and holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Serdjenian also directs Colby's popular summer soccer camps.

Bill Cooper, a 1996 graduate of Heidelberg College in Ohio, joins the men's soccer coaching staff in 2002. Also an assistant with Colby's track and field teams, Bill was a four-year varsity starter as a soccer player at Heidleberg, where he was named All-America in the 400-meter run.
