Jen Holsten begins her eighth year as head coach of the women's soccer program. During the past seven seasons, her team has posted winning records in each season, made six consecutive post-season appearances, including two appearances in the NCAA Division III National Tournament, and has had twelve players named to the NSCAA All-New England team. A native of Western Massachusetts, Holsten was a three-sport varsity athlete at Colby competing in soccer, ice hockey and softball. She holds a B.A. in government and holds a master's degree in education with a concentration in athletic administration from Springfield College. While at Springfield, Jen served as a graduate assistant coach for the women's soccer team. During the summer months she is head coach of the Merestead Soccer and lacrosse camp in Castleton, VT and works at various other New England camps. In 1997 Jen received Coach of the Year honors from the Maine State Soccer Coaches Association. Jen is also the women's ice hockey coach at Colby.

Katie Rowen '01, a native of Virginia Beach, VA, returns for a one-year position as the assistant coach for the White Mules. A stalwart on defense for the women's soccer team for the last four years, Katie has deferred attending law school at the University of Vermont, for one last season with the team. A dedicated player during her playing days, Katie's natural leadership and motivational abilities will be a valuable part of the team's run for a coveted spot in the 2001 NESCAC women's soccer tournament.
