
Women's Soccer Season Review
The Colby women's soccer team loses one of the program's best players to graduation in senior forward Christine O'Donnell (Salem, Mass.). She became the all-time leading scorer in Colby women's soccer history with 43 goals and nine assists for 95 points.
O'Donnell, the all-time leading goal scorer as well at Colby, finished the season with 12 goals and three assists for 27 points. She was third in NESCAC in points per game and goals per game. O'Donnell was named to the NESCAC All-Conference Team for her fourth straight year.
Senior sweeper Stephanie Hicks (Framingham, Mass.) was third in scoring with three goals and two assists while finishing her career with eight goals and 11 assists. Hicks, who is a government major at Colby, was honored as a Verizon Academic District 1 (New England and New York region) First Team selection and was named to the NESCAC All-Academic Team.
Sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Riley (Saco, Maine) led the NESCAC in saves per game for the Mules (5-9). Senior Lauren Gremelspacher (Granby, Conn.) was second on the team in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points.
Two first-year players Kaitlin Herlihy (Simsbury, Conn.) and Kristin Schmidt (Littleton, Mass.) both had six points. Kara McCabe (Watertown, Conn.), another first-year player, started all 14 games on defense and had one goal.
