 Team History

Established in 1979, the women's soccer team has emerged as one of the most successful athletic teams at Colby. The team competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, one of the most competitive leagues in NCAA Division III soccer.

Program highlights include back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament in 1998 and 1999, including an appearance in the national "Sweet 16" field in 1998. The team traveled abroad twice since 1997 and is expected to travel again in the summer of 2005. In 1997 the team toured Sweden while playing in the Second Division Premier Leagues, and in 2001 the squad started off its 2001 campaign with a 10-day tour of Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and England.
