Fort Myers, Fl.- The Mules bats were awakened in the first game of day when they topped MIT 9-1 to pick up their first victory of the season. Looking impressive on the mound for Colby was Toni-Lynn Robbins '05 (Appleton, Maine) who pitched a complete game, giving up 0 earned runs, 4 hits and three strikeouts in seven innings in her first college start. Colby got offense from the entire lineup as the Mules bats were hot all afternoon.  Kim Chadwick '02 (Gardiner, Maine) went 3-5 with 3 singles and a run. Jessica Fitzgerald '03 (Lynn, Mass.) went 2-5 with a double and scored two runs.  Bonner '05 (Lexington, Mass.), a three-sport athlete from field hockey and basketball, made her first offensive impact with 2 hits, 2 RBI and 2 runs. Freshman teammate Cara Pollard '05 (Bucksport, Maine) picked up a hit for the second straight game when she went 2-3 with 2 runs. Also chipping in for Colby was Elizabeth Riley '05 (Saco, Maine) with an RBI and a run while going 2-2 from the plate.
