Bailey has compiled an impressive 380-238-3 record in the 21 years he has been coaching softball. He has won numerous coaching awards, and his teams have competed in many post-season events and were hosts of the 2003 NESCAC Tournament.

A native of Springfield, Mass., Bailey attended Saint Anselm College on a basketball scholarship and received MVP honors his senior year. He was subsequently inducted into the Saint Anselm Hall of Fame. Bailey holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in international affairs from George Washington University. After 20 years of active military service Bailey retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
