WATERVILLE, Maine

The Colby swim team hosted the Coast Guard Academy at Alfond Pool.

The Colby women began the afternoon by winning the 200 medley relay and never looked back as they accumulated 151 points to 79 for the Coast Guard women. The Colby men saw rougher waters this afternoon as they fell 148-92.

On an individual note for the women, Colby received a strong performance from Carolyn Plant (Fr, Davis, CA) who won the 200 free and the 100 back stroke. Jess Alex (Sr. Old Town, ME) was also a duplicate winner, taking both diving events. For Coast Guard, Jane Carley (Fr. Phoenix, AZ) dominated the distance events, winning the 500 free, 100 fly and the 1,000 free.

On the men's side, Colby's Jonathan Eck (So. Lake Bluff, IL) won the 200 IM and 500 free. Eck was also a member of the 400 free relay team that took second place. Steve Feldman (Sr. Needham, MA) contributed points by winning both diving events. The Coast Guard men were led by Ian Callander (Sr, Boston, MA) who won both the 100 and 200 free.

The mules return to action on Saturday, December 2nd as the travel to MIT.
