First-year player Zach Schuman led the Mules with a 24-19 record this year, including a 13-9 singles record while mainly playing at the second position. Ben Crane ’06 and John Fallon ’05 each had more than 20 victories this season.

The highlight of the season for the Mules was a win in the first-ever Colby Cup tourney.

With one of the youngest teams in the New England Small College Athletic Conference last year, the Colby men¹s tennis team has high hopes for the 2004-05 season. The Mules had no seniors on last year¹s 5-8 squad and only three of the players were juniors.

Ben Crane ¹06 led the team in wins last year with 17 while playing mostly the third, fourth and fifth singles spots. John Fallon ¹05 added 14 overall wins, while Steen Sehnert ¹06 added 13 wins while playing mostly first and second singles.

Tim Stenovec ¹06 finished with 11 wins, while Marc Kassin ¹05 and James Cryan ¹07 both had nine. Kassin played first singles during the spring season and joined forces with Sehnert at first doubles. Kevin Yardi ¹05 and Tony Gill ¹07 both finished with eight victories.

Men¹s tennis finished the year at 5-8 and had a competitive season with a young team.

First singles player Marc Kassin ¹05 won nine overall matches and earned NESCAC Spring All-Academic honors. Ben Crane ¹06 led the team in victories with his 17-12 record. John Fallon ¹05 added 14 wins and Steen Sehnert ¹06 had 13 victories.
