The Colby College White Mules tennis team (4-3) overtook the Huskies of the University of Southern Maine (8-9) on Tuesday evening, 7-2. Colby swept all three doubles matches and won four of six singles matches.

Winners for Colby included Caren Harris (03, Fairview Village, Pa) in number three singles, sophomore Jenny Grace (Darien, Ct) in number four singles, freshman Sabina Warren (Dover, Ma) in number five singles, and number six singles player Emily Walker (04, Memphis, Tn).

In doubles action, Britt Palmedo (03, Katchem, Id) teamed up with Grace to win 9-7. The number two doubles team of Warren and Walker took their match 8-4. Junior Erika Goss (Stowe, Vt) joined teammate Hillary Lavely (02, Louisville, Ky) to win 8-3.

Colby's next challenge comes when they host Bowdoin College on Friday, October 13, at 4:00pm.
