Colby women's tennis routs Bates, 9-0

Waterville, ME – The Colby College women's tennis team (2-1) went on the defeat the Bates College Bobcats (1-2) in all matches, 9-0.

In the doubles action, Colby College White Mules defeated the Bates College Bobcats in all four doubles matches, scoring three points.

Doubles:

1.  Sara Hughes/Christina Pluta          def.      Heather Bracken/Lindsay Yost           8-0

2.  Britt Palmedo/Caren Harris           def.      Tara DeVito/Kim Hoffman                 8-6

3.  Paige Hanzlik/Jenny Grace            def.      Kelsey Evans/Talbot Randall             9-7

4.  Emily Walker/Erika Goss              def.      Elizabeth Cebula/Caroline Renji         8-2

In the singles action, Colby was, again, able to defeat Bates College in all six of the matches to complete the sweep.

The Colby women's tennis team is back in action this Saturday October 6, 2001 as they host the Camels of Connecticut College at 11:00 am.
