Todd Coffin 83, Head Coach 2005-06 is Todd Coffin's third season as head coach of Colby's cross-country and track and field teams. Colby's first NCAA champion in any sport, Coffin captured the 1983 NCAA Division III steeplechase crown. Coffin earned a B.A. in geology from Colby in 1983 and an M.S. in geology from Purdue University in 1986. He was head coach of men's cross country and track and field at the University of Southern Maine in 1994-95. Coffin also was an assistant cross-country coach at Bowdoin from 1990 to 1993. An avid runner, Coffin frequently joins his team on daily runs and races competitively on the roads and track. He finished fifth in the Masters National Indoor Mile Run and won the Masters New England Half Marathon in 2002. He has run marathons as well, finishing 17th (2:19:36) in the Houston Marathon in 1989 and 47th (2:27:04) in the Boston Marathon in 1990.
