Now entering her eighth season as head coach, Candice Parent has been involved with the Colby volleyball program since the fall of 1993. In 1997 and 2001 her colleagues selected her as the Maine State Coach of the Year. In December 1999, Candice was selected as the female recipient of the Rick Pierce Award, a regional award based on sportsmanship, competitiveness, and volunteerism given out annually by the Yankee Volleyball Association.

Mark Parent has officially served as the team's assistant coach for the past seven years. Candice and Mark are the only collegiate husband and wife coaching team in New England. Both coaches continue to play volleyball at the highest-level tournaments in New England through the USA Volleyball Association, and each year they participate in the USA Volleyball Nationals at various host sites across the country.
