2008 Mid-Maine Camp of Stars Application

  •   Daily positional stations and hitting fundamental stations
  •    Lectures and scrimmage situations involving  strategy and positioning
  •  Two scrimmage games on 5 fields per day
  •    Baseball Olympics
  •   Special guest lecturers and small group drill participation

Session

Monday, June 23 -  Friday, June 27 (ending at 12:30 p.m. on Friday)

Activities begin at 9a.m. and end at 3:30p.m.

Campers can provide there own lunch or items will be available for purchase through our camp store.

 

Tuition

Tuition is $190.00.   Early Registration (BEFORE June 1st  $180.00) 

Sibling rates are available at a $15.00 discount.

Director

Tom Dexter, assistant baseball coach at Colby College is in his 19th year, 11th as director of the Camp of Stars.  Coached 3 state championships for the Messalonskee Cal Ripkin league and State Championship for Centeral Maine Babe Ruth 13 year olds.

 

Staff

Dale Plummer, Head Baseball Coach at Colby College and Assistant Camp Director. Former pro pitcher for eight seasons with the Red Sox and Mets.  He currently owns and directs the Pro Baseball Experience Academy.

 

Chappy Nelson, Assistant Baseball Coach, Colby

 

Plus, Area high school and college coaches, area high school and college players and the Colby baseball staff.

 

Location

The clinic will be held at the beautiful 714 acre Colby College Campus.  The Colby College baseball and softball fields will be used.  Players will have use of the Olympic size indoor pool which will be available as well as other recreational facilities in the spacious field House.
