Baseball closes season with split (05/02/2010)

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Matt Moore (Winfield, Ill.) pitched a complete game in his final collegiate game with the Mules in a 9-3 win in the opener, but Plymouth State got a solid pitching performance from Bobby Chatfield (Sharon, Conn.) in the nightcap in a 7-5 win at Coombs Field on Sunday.

Baseball earns 5-0 shutout of Thomas (04/27/2010)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Five Colby College pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout and Nikolas Atsalis (West Hyannis Port, Mass.) went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI as the Mules took a 5-0 non-conference win over local rival Thomas College on Tuesday at wet Coombs Field.

Baseball loses two at St. Joseph's (04/25/2010)

STANDISH, Maine --- The Colby College baseball team had the same amount of hits in each game with St. Joseph's College and the Mules did not commit an error in 14 innings, but the Monks had the more timely hits in taking 4-2 and 6-4 wins in a non-conference doubleheader Sunday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College baseball team was three outs away from winning the opener, but Bates College took a 7-3 win with five runs in the seventh inning and then took a 7-2 win in the second game in NESCAC East play Saturday at Coombs Field.

LEWISTON, Maine --- The Colby College baseball team tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the eighth inning only to see Bates College score twice in the bottom of the eighth on the way to a 3-1 win in New England Small College Athletic Conference East play Friday.

BRUNSWICK, Maine --- You might have to go back more than a decade to find a better day for the Colby College baseball program after the Mules received fine pitching performances from Matt Moore and Nathanael Sugarbaker in a doubleheader sweep of Bowdoin College on Sunday.

MEDFORD, Mass. --- The Colby College baseball team held an 8-4 lead at one point only to see Tufts University battle from behind for a 10-8 victory in NESCAC East Division play Saturday.
