Baseball player Newton earns All-New England, All-NESCAC honors (05/18/2011)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior outfielder Richard Newton (Arlington, Mass.), who had the best year of his collegiate career after batting .400, was honored two times Wednesday as a New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Third Team pick and a New England Small College Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference selection.

Colby baseball team ends season with home win over rival Bowdoin, 5-4 (05/06/2011)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Dom Morrill (South Thomaston, Maine) pitched seven strong innings to earn the win in his final collegiate game and reliever Abhi Chandel (Columbus, N.J.) did not allow a hit in the final two innings to pick up the save as the Colby College baseball team ended the season with a 5-4 victory over playoff-bound Bowdoin College on Friday at Coombs Field.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Mark Nelson pitched a complete game shutout in the nightcap over  University of Maine at Presque Isle and Mark Collins allowed just one run in the first game as the Colby College baseball team won 16-1 and 5-0 over the Owls in non-conference play at Coombs Field.

LEWISTON, Maine – The Colby College baseball team put up 20 runs in three games against Bates College, but the Mules had to settle for an 0-3 record after falling 10-8 in seven innings and losing the nine-inning game by a 4-2 count in a doubleheader Saturday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Four Colby College pitchers allowed just seven hits --- all singles – and three Mule hitters had two hits apiece in a 4-0 non-conference win over local rival Thomas College on Wednesday at Coombs Field.
