Crews win heats during Hunter Regatta

GAINESVILLE, Ga. --- The Colby College men and women's crews both finished in first place in heats Saturday morning at the John Hunter Regatta, but the Mules missed the championship finals because of travel obligations.
 
The Colby men's varsity 8 ended their spring break trip to Georgia by taking first place in 6 minutes, 36 seconds. The men's second varsity 8 boat also rowed and took third place in 6:50.16 in their heat.
 
The Colby women also had success in their heat, defeating four other colleges with a time of 7:45.96.
 
The Mules will have next weekend off before heading to Worcester, Mass., for racing on Saturday, April 7.
