Burt strong again as field hockey loses tough one

HARTFORD, Conn. –-- Colby College's Michelle Burt continues to play well against some of the top-ranked teams in the country, but the Mules lost a tough 1-0 overtime game to 14th-ranked Trinity College on Saturday.
 
Burt finished with 12 saves as the Bantams had a 30-6 shot advantage. She had 11 saves last Saturday as the Mules led early before falling 2-1 to ninth-ranked Tufts University.
 
Trinity's Hadley Duncan scored the game’s only goal from senior captain forward Caroline Snite (Philadelphia, Pa.) with 1:01 left in overtime.
 
The Bantams are now 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the NESCAC, while the Mules fall to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the league.
