BRUNSWICK, Maine --- Colby College senior offensive lineman Brian Leighton (John Bapst/Orrington, Maine) will be honored with the Scholar-Athlete Award from The State of Maine Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Matt Fait (Glencoe, Ill.) made the first team offense and fellow seniors Brian Leighton (Orrington, Maine) and Chris Copeland (Rexford, N.Y.) each made the second team of the New England Small College Athletic Conference Football All-Conference Team on Wednesday.

BRUNSWICK, Maine --- The Colby College football team will have to settle for a tie for the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin (CBB) Championship after the Polar Bears scored 26 points in the second half on the way to a 32-27 win over the Mules on Saturday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College quarterback Nick Kmetz (Indian River/Laurel, Del.) collected another honor this week after being named the winner of the Gold Helmet Award by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston on Wednesday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College quarterback Nick Kmetz (Laurel, Del.), who had four touchdown passes in the second half in a comeback win over Tufts University, was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Nick Kmetz (Laurel, Del.) threw four touchdown passes  to three different receivers in the second half as the Colby College football team clinched at least a .500 season with a 34-31 victory over Tufts University in the home finale at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium on Saturday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College senior football players will compete at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium for the final time Saturday when the Mules entertain Tufts University at 12:30 p.m.

Football team wins wild one over Bates (10/31/2009)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- The first game of the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin (CBB) championship went to the home team as the Colby College football team survived a wild Bates College comeback in the final six minutes to give the Mules a 34-27 victory in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium.
