BOSTON, Mass. --- Former Colby College head coach Tom Austin will be honored with the John Baronian Lifetime Contribution to Football Award by The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston at the annual Bob Whelan College Football Awards Night on Thursday, January 13, at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, Mass.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College football team had to settle for a second straight 4-4 season after Bowdoin College took advantage of two big special teams play and a defensive touchdown for a 26-21 win on Saturday at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Travis Lazarczyk of the Waterville Morning Sentinel did a feature on Colby College senior safety Nick Tucker in Friday's edition of the newspaper. Tucker, who has overcome many obstacles in his life, is playing his final game with the Mules on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against rival Bowdoin College at Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Nick Kmetz (Laurel, Del.) had the best quarterback performance of anybody in NCAA Division III last Saturday after being named to the National Team of the Week on Wednesday.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College quarterback Nick Kmetz (Laurel, Del.), who set a program record with 473 yards of total offense against Tufts University on Saturday, was honored Sunday as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Co-Player of the Week.

MEDFORD, Mass. --- The comeback of Nov. 6, 2010, will go down in the annals of Colby College football after the Mules scored two touchdowns in the final 5:20 of play to pull out a wild 42-41 win over Tufts University at Zimman Field on Saturday.
