Martin sixth, Mules sixth at NESCAC golf meet

MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. --- Taggie Martin finished tied for sixth place and the Colby College golf team placed sixth overall out of 10 teams at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Golf Championship Qualifier at Lyman Orchards Golf Course on Sunday.
 
Martin led the field after the first round Saturday with a 3-under-par 69. He followed that up with a 78 on Sunday for a two-day total of 147.
 
Tripp Huber was tied for 27 place with a 156 total (77-79) for the Mules. Senior captain Harry Smith (78-81) had a 159 finish and tied for 33rd, Pete Gabranski (80-81) had a 161, and Tom Lampert (80-82) was tied for 37th with a 162.
