WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Bates College and Colby College golf teams met in match play for the Sid Farr Invitational on Sunday and the Bobcats earned a 5-2 win at Waterville Country Club.
Colby co-captain Taggie Martin took a 5-and-4 victory over Corey Gingras, while the Mules also received a 3-and-2 victory from Craig Marshall over Zachary Abbott.
Bates captain Jared Quenzel took a 3-and-2 (up 3 shots with 2 holes to play) victory over Tripp Huber. Garrett Johnson of the Bobcats won 5-and-4 over Pete Gabranski, Kevin Shaughnessy was a 6-and-5 winner against Steve Carroll, Garret Bonney took a 3-and-2 victory against Anthony Raymond, and Aidan Schmidtberger was a 6-and-5 winner against Jack Hartigan.
