Men's cross country ninth at Westfield meet

WESTFIELD, Mass. --- The Colby College men's cross country team had three runners in the top 50 in a field of 430 finishers at the James Earley Men's Cross Country Invitational at Westfield State on Saturday.
 
The Mules placed ninth out of 40 scoring teams with a 284. The Mules held off Maine rival Southern Maine, which finished 10th at 313. Middlebury College won the meet with a score of 23.
 
Chase Brown finished in 45th place for Colby with a time of 27 minutes, 37.15 seconds, while Charlie Coffman came in right behind him in 46th with a 27:37.47. Luke Doherty Munro broke into the top 50 by placing 49th in 27:42.50 and Paco DeFrancis was 72nd in 28:03.94.
