Men's cross country 12th at regional meet

WESTFIELD, Mass. --- The Colby College men's cross country team had six runners in the top 100 and moved two places up from last year by taking 12th place at the New England Division III Men's Cross Country Championships (NCAA Qualifier) on Saturday at Westfield State.

Senior captain Brian Desmond led the Mules by taking 55th place in 26 minutes, 05.44 over the 8-kilometer course. Charlie Coffman was right behind Desmond in 56th at 26:06.84, while Jeff Hale was 71st in 26:26.98. Ben Lester clocked a 26:43.74 for 84th place, Chase Brown had a 26:51.64 for 91st, and Will McCarthy took 94th in 26:54.82.
