STOWE, Vt. --- Jake Barton finished in 12th place for the Colby College men's Nordic team to help the Mules place fifth overall in the 10-kilometer classic event on Saturday at the University of Vermont Carnival.

RUMFORD, Maine --- Colby College men's Nordic skier Jake Barton, competing in his first 30-kilometer classical race, finished in 34th place in the event at the U.S. Cross Country Championships. Barton finished in a time of one hour, 32 minutes, 24.6 seconds.

RUMFORD, Maine --- Colby College Nordic skier LIzzie Anderson finished in 24th place in junior women's freestyle sprint racing and John Dixon placed 30th in the men's sprint heats at the 2012 U.S. Cross Country Championships.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Silas Gill, who was part of the first full team of Colby College Nordic skiers at an NCAA Skiing Championship, was named Monday as the Mules' new assistant coach for 2012.
