Sakhi Khan, who has more than 34 years of squash experience, is entering his ninth season as head coach of the Colby men's and women's squash programs.

Khan won the Chaffee Award after the 2006-07 season for being coach of the year in sportsmanship.

Khan has been a four-time All-American varsity squash player and graduated from Tufts University in 1985. As a college player Khan reached the National Collegiate Squash Championships finals and won the Massachusetts State Championship three times.

He also competed on the World Professional Tour for seven years. As a professional, Khan won the World Teaching Professional Championships twice.

Assistant Coaches

Doanh Wang, the head coach of men's and women's tennis at Colby, will start his third year as an assistant squash coach.

Wang was an assistant coach for women's tennis at the University of Wisconsin before coming to Colby. The Binghamton, N.Y., native was the head women's tennis coach at Edgewood College for three years. Edgewood and University of Wisconsin are both located in Madison.

Wang coached four Edgewood tennis players to conference singles championships and also had four doubles champions in three years. He had a 15-5 record in league play and was named the Lake Michigan Conference Coach of the Year in 2005 and received the same honor in 2006 by the Northern Athletics Conference. Edgewood did not have a men's tennis program.

Wang earned a bachelor's degree from Binghamton in 1995 and added a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1999.
