Men's hockey drops game at Southern Maine

GORHAM, Maine --- Jordan Nathan allowed just two goals in his collegiate debut for the Colby College men's hockey team, but the Mules could not come up with a goal in support as University of Southern Maine took a 3-0 victory Tuesday night.
 
Colby falls to 3-9 overall heading into Friday's NESCAC game at Trinity College at 7 p.m.
 
Nathan kept Colby in the game with 17 saves and held the Huskies (5-5-2 overall) without a goal for nearly two periods. USM scored with just 14 seconds left to the second intermission on a goal by Brad McGovern.
 
McGovern and Matt MacDonald assisted on USM's second goal of the game at 9:49 of the third period by Pearl. Jamie Osborne added an empty net goal with 1:55 to go.
 
Braely Torris had 20 saves in goal for the shutout for USM.
