WATERVILLE, Maine --- Connecticut College broke a 1-1 tie with three goals in the final 9:38 of the opening period on the way to a 5-2 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Friday night at Alfond Rink.
Sean Curran (Wilmette, Ill.) had one goal and three assists for the Camels (2-5 overall, 2-3 NESCAC). Keith Veronesi (South Glastonbury, Conn.) added a pair of goals, while J.J. McGregor (Wichita, Kan.) had three assists.
Conn College's Mike Sinsigalli (Wilton, Conn.) and Colby's Nick Lanza (Rocky Hill, Conn.) traded goals in the opening 7:54 of play. Curran put the Camels ahead for good at 10:22 of the first period. Will Leedy (Farmers Branch, Texas) also tallied for the Camels.
Ben Chwick had a third-period goal for the Mules (2-5, 1-4 NESCAC).
