WATERVILLE, Maine ---- The Colby College men's soccer team brought the Elm City Bowl back to Colby after Andrew Meisel scored with just 1:51 left in overtime to help the Mules take a 1-0 win over local rival Thomas College on Tuesday.

The Mules had won 17 straight games over Thomas before falling in overtime to the Terriers last year. The Mules move to 6-4 overall, while Thomas falls to 7-5.

Meisel scored the golden goal after Noah Randall's header skipped across the six-yard box. Meisel was there to beat goalkeeper Winston Trott with the dribble and then tap the ball into the net to continue a big week for the junior midfielder. He was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Colby goaltender Ben Joslin stopped four shots for his second straight shutout, while Shaquille Trott made five stops for Thomas.
