FARMINGTON, Maine --- First-year Jon Stronach had first two collegiate goals and Nate Tolman also scored as the Colby College men's soccer team finished the weekend with a 3-0 win over University of Maine at Farmington on Sunday.
 
The Mules move to 3-2 overall, while UMF drops to 3-4.
 
Stronach put Colby on the scoreboard at the 28:03 mark of the first half with an assist from Nick Aubin. Tolman's goal also was set up by Aubin with just under 30 minutes remaining in the second half to give the Mules a 2-0 advantage. Stronach found the net a second time at the 78:17 mark of the second half with the assist coming from Andrew Woonton.
 
Colby goalies Peter Quayle and Josh Richards preserved the shutout for the Mules. UMF keeper Derek Reilly made seven stops for the Beavers.
 
Colby had an 18-1 shot margin and had a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.
