Men's soccer drops road game at Husson

BANGOR, Maine --- Husson University scored two goals in a span of 2:22 of the first half and added a late goal on the way to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Colby College in men's soccer Wednesday night.
The Mules fall to 0-1-1 overall and will face Middlebury College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in their home opener. Husson moves to 3-2 overall.
Colby's Andrew Meisel had five of the Mules' 10 shots in the game, while Mule goalkeeper Cody Funkhouser had his scoreless streak snapped at 136 minutes, 16 seconds after helping his team to a 0-0 overtime tie at Connecticut College to start the season. Funkhouser finished with five saves against Husson.
Vinny Visconti scored unassisted at 26:16 of the opening half for what turned out to be the game-winning goal. Just 2:22 later, Brian Loiselle gave the Eagles an insurance goal from James Crockford. The game stayed 2-0 until Crockford tallied with just 2:36 to play.
