Men's swim team coasts to win over Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. --- John Madeira won two events as the Colby College men's swimming and diving team posted a 154-87 victory over Norwich University on Friday.

Madeira had a victory in the 400 individual medley (4:47.88) and took a close victory in the 200 backstroke (2:10.82). He edged Norwich's Lance Webster (2:10.83) at the wall.

Senior captain Jack Mauel was a winner in the 200 butterfly in 2:06.61 for the Mules. Colby's other winners included: Ethan Johnson in 3-meter diving (95.30 points), Vincent Galea with a 21.96 in the 50 freestyle, Ryan Bachur with a 5:22.85 in the 500 freestyle, and Paul Wennberg in 2:23.40 in the 200 breaststroke.

Mauel, Jack Bjorn, Galea, and Wennberg took a victory in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:29.36 for the Mules. Andy Peterson, Wennberg, Tyler Lewtan, and Bachur were winners in the 400 medley relay (3:51.16).
