Galea wins event for men's swim team in opener

AMHERST, Mass. --- Vincent Galea won the 50-yard freestyle and helped a relay team take third place for the Colby College men's swimming and diving team in a 173-103 loss to Amherst College on Saturday. Galea finished in a time of 22.12 to edge Amherst's Tyler Hampton (22.26) in earning nine points for first place. Galea, Paul Wennberg, James Hootsmans, and Tyler Lewtan were third in the 200 freestyle relay for Colby.
Wennberg added a second in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.69) for the Mules.
