NEW YORK, N.Y. --- Colby College's Dom Kone (Bucksport, Maine) won the ECAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships title in the 60-meter dash Saturday in what continues to be a huge season for the junior.
Kone has an impressive resume of wins already this indoor season. He won the 200 dash at the New England Division III meet and was a winner in the 100 dash, 200 dash, and long jump at the Maine State meet. Kone heads to Grinnell College in Iowa for the NCAA Division III Championships this Friday and Saturday.
Kone earned 10 points for the Mules with his school-record winning time of 6.80 in the 60 dash. He had the fastest time of the day on Friday with a 6.83 in a preliminary race. Kone had the fastest time in the country in the 55 dash at last year's national meet in a preliminary race, but hurt a hamstring in the championship final.
