SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Samantha Allen (Bridgton, Maine) will be one of 22 players to compete in the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Western New England College.
Allen is one of seven New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) players in the game.
Allen, who played two years for Colby after transferring schools, finished her Mule career with 501 points, 225 rebounds, 114 assists, and 65 steals. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, had 59 assists, and nailed 51 3-point shots this past season to help Colby finish 24-5 overall and make the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time. Allen averaged 10.1 points and 4.5 rebounds during her junior season.
The Mules had a 37-17 record in the two years with Allen as a starter at guard.
