Alpine ski teams take sixth in giant slalom

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Vincent Lebrun-Fortin led the Colby College men's alpine team and Emily Colin was the top finisher for the women in the giant slalom at the St. Lawrence University Ski Carnival at Whiteface Mountain on Friday.

Lebrun-Fortin had runs of 1:01.01 and 1:03.16 for a two-run total time of 2:04.17. Josh Kernan was just behind Lebrun-Fortin in 15th place with a total time of 2:04.20 (1:00.97, 1:03.23) and Jody Centauro took 21st in 2:05.34.

Colin finished with runs of 1:04.26 and 1:06.25 for a total time of 2:10.51. Laura Littman placed 27th in 2:15.28.

Both Colby teams finished in sixth place.
