Lebrun-Fortin fifth at Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. --- Colby College All-American Vincent Lebrun-Fortin had one of the better finishes of his 2009 season by placing fifth in the slalom at the Dartmouth College Ski Carnival on Saturday at Dartmouth Skiway.

Lebrun-Fortin had the second-fastest second run with a clocking of 48.20. University of New Hampshire’s William Ford, who won the event, was the only one faster at 48.10. Lebrun-Fortin also had a 46.81 first run for a two-run total time of 1:35.01.

Josh Kernan was ninth in 1:35.77 with runs of 46.66 and 49.11. Sam Witherspoon was 27th for the Mules, who placed fourth out of 10 teams with 88 points.

For the Colby women, Dana Breakstone placed 20th in 1:44.57 over her two runs as the Mules were eighth.
