Alpine skier Lebrun-Fortin earns two honors

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Vincent Lebrun-Fortin (Montreal, Quebec) earned Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) All-East first team honors, was named EISA Male Rookie of the Year, and will ski at the NCAA Championships along with Josh Kernan (Shelburne, N.H.) and Dana Breakstone (Sparta, N.J.).

Lebrun-Fortin has had a banner first year at Colby with a win in the slalom at the Williams Ski Carnival. He also has seconds in the slalom at the Eastern Championships and Vermont, and earned thirds at St. Lawrence and Dartmouth in the slalom.

Lebrun-Fortin, men's skier Kernan, and women's skier Breakstone will head to Bozeman, Montana, for the NCAA Skiing Championships from March 5-8. Kernan had a fifth in the slalom at Williams and a sixth at Bates, while Breakstone was 10th in the giant slalom at Williams and 14th at the Eastern meet.
