Lebrun-Fortin leads Mules in giant slalom

STOWE, Vt. --- Vincent Lebrun-Fortin placed 18th in the giant slalom to lead the Colby College men's alpine team to a sixth-place finish at the University of Vermont Ski Carnival on Friday at Stowe.

Lebrun-Fortin had the best first run among Colby skiers with a 1:02.55 on his way to a two-run total time of 2:03.65. Josh Kernan was 21st for the Mules and had Colby's best second run at 1:00.74. Brian Morgan placed 29th for Colby and Marc Massie took 31st.

Makayla Brown led the Colby women by placing 28th in 2:12.39 over two runs. Cassady Roberts took 31st place for the Mules.
