STOWE, Vt. --- Colby College’s Josh Kernan was fifth in the men’s slalom and Emily Colin took 12th for the women at the University of Vermont Ski Carnival on Saturday.

Kernan had a two-run total time of 1:45.72 after finishes of 51.57 and 54.15. Brian Morgan took 16th for the Mules in 1:48.21. The Colby men did not have three skiers finish the race and ended up seventh overall. The Mules would have likely been at least fifth place if another skier had finished besides Kernan and Morgan.

Colin was 12th in 2:01.52, including a 58.59 second run that was better than the third place finisher in the event. Julia Peck Coffin took 24th and Dana Breakstone was 25th for Colby.
