Men's alpine team takes third in slalom

HANOVER, N.H. --- The Colby College men's alpine team had three skiers in the top 14 of the slalom and finished in third place in the event at the Dartmouth College Ski Carnival on Saturday at Dartmouth Skiway.

The third place finish of 88 points was the best in the past two years. Colby had taken a fourth earlier in the season. Middlebury College won with 95 points and University of Vermont was second at 94.

Colby first-year skier Vincent Lebrun-Fortin finished in third with runs of 47.36 and 47.22 for a two-run total time of 1:34.58. Jody Centauro was eighth in 1:35.71 (48.74, 46.97) and Josh Kernan took 14th in 1:37.10 (48.95, 48.15).

Dana Breakstone placed 18th for the Colby women in 1:49.51 over two runs, while Emily Colin took 23rd in 1:51.63. The Colby women placed seventh overall.
