Morgan 16th for Colby men at NCAA ski meet

STOWE, Vt. --- Colby College's Brian Morgan finished in 16^th place in leading the men's alpine team to an 11^th-place finish in the giant slalom at the NCAA Skiing Championships on Wednesday at Stowe.

Morgan had runs of 1:03.22 and 1:01.06 for a two-run total time of 2:04.56. His time on the second run was better than the third and sixth place overall finishers.

Marc Massie also had a good second run with a 1:01.82 after posting a 1:04.35 on the opening run for a total time of  2:06.17 in finishing 25^th, while Jim Ryan had runs of 1:05.22 and 1:02.17 for a 2:07.39 to take 18^th place.

Colby finished with 51 points on the day to take 11^th in the country. In combined team scores (alpine and Nordic), the Mules have 67 points for 15^th place.
