HARTFORD, Conn. --- Craig Cooper drove in a pair of runs and scored twice for the Colby College baseball team as the Mules again held an early lead in a game against defending national champion Trinity College before falling on Saturday. The Mules lost 19-1 in the first game and then held a 7-3 lead early in the second game before the Bantams came back for an 18-8 win. Colby (5-17, 1-8 NESCAC) also held a lead against Trinity in a game on Friday. John Lerner and Kyle McKay both had two hits for Colby in the second game. Ken Kaufman, Ryan Conlon, John LaMantia, and Brendan Gallagher all drove in runs. In the opener, Brandon Nieuw had a hit and the lone run for the Mules.
