Baseball team falls at Husson, 5-3

BANGOR, Maine --- Despite a 10 to eight advantage in hits, the Colby College baseball team fell 5-3 to Husson University in a non-conference game Monday.

Mike Mastrocola had three of Colby’s 10 hits, but Husson had a big four-run first inning to get the runs they would need. The Mules had two runs in the third inning and a lone run in the eighth. Husson added an insurance run in the sixth inning.

Craig Cooper had a pair of hits and an RBI, while John Lerner had one hit, one run, and one RBI. John LaMantia and Brandon Nieuw both had one and one run. Kyle McKay drove in one run with an RBI single.
