WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Lane Marder took 10th place overall as the Colby College women's cross country team placed fifth, while the men were 16th at the ECAC Championships on Saturday at Mt. Greylock Regional High School near Williams College.
Like most of the teams at the event, Colby rested its top seven runners in anticipation of next Saturday's New England Division III NCAA Qualifier at Connecticut College.
Marder had a time of 23 minutes, 34 seconds over 6,000 meters. Jen MacDowell was a few seconds back in 15th place with a 23:37 clocking. The Colby women placed fifth out of 31 teams at the meet.
The Colby men were 16th out of 37 squads as John Hall led the way by taking 87th in 28:35.
