Running in the rain, Bowdoin's Laura Onderko (Glastonbury, Conn.) won the women's 5-kilometer race in 19 minutes, 34 seconds as the two teams settled for a 28-28 tie. Colby had the next two finishers in Mandy Ivey (Oxford, Maine) with a time of 19:38 and Anna King (Greenland, N.H.) in a 19:52 clocking. Bowdoin's Courtney Martin (Hermon, Maine) placed fourth in 19:57 and Colby first-year runner Emma Linhard (Brunswick, Maine) took fifth in 20:08.

The Mules also received a sixth from Lane Marder (Weston, Mass.) in 20:16 and a 10th from Katrina Gravel (Peabody, Mass.) with a time of 20:37.

The Bowdoin men had the top 10 finishers in a 15-50 win against the Mules in an 8-kilometer race. The Polar Bears had a group of runners at the finish line as winner John Hall (Bow, N.H.) and runner-up Tyler Lonsdale (Westport, Conn.) both had times of 28:03.

Colby first-year runner John DeAscentis (Fall River, Mass.) placed 11th in 29:58. Andy Maguire (Barrington, R.I.) was 12th with a 30:28 and Zach Currier (Norwich, Vt.) placed 13th in 30:47 for the Mules.

The Colby teams head to the Connecticut College Invitational next Saturday.
